Description

This training will provide you with a basic understanding of the standards landscape and the role of standards in the context of the AI Act. You will learn about the process of developing AI standards and how they interact with other regulations and sector-specific standards. You will also receive practical guidance on creating appropriate evidence for conformity assessment. The goal is to enable you to use AI standards for compliance purposes and engage with the relevant stakeholders.

Learning objectives

  • You will understand the motivation behind AI standards and their central role in the AI Act, particularly with regard to the conformity assessment of high-risk AI systems.
  • You will gain an overview of the landscape of AI standards, their development process, and their current status.
  • You will also understand the operational application of AI standards, particularly with regard to suitable evidence, relevant stakeholders, and sector-specific aspects.

Target audience

Product owners, project managers, middle managers, AI risk managers in SMEs and start-ups, and individuals required to perform conformity assessments in accordance with the AI Act.

Prerequisites

No prior knowledge of standards is required — the training is aimed at beginners in this field.
