This training provides you with a concise, practical introduction to the EU AI Act—no prior legal knowledge required. You’ll understand why AI is regulated within the EU and what risks the AI Act addresses. You’ll learn how the regulation works—specifically, as a risk-based product safety regulation with four risk classes—which you’ll explore through concrete examples. You’ll learn which roles the AI Act distinguishes (provider, operator, or purely private use) and why the role determines the obligations. You’ll see how AI agents fit into this picture and why they are legally considered AI systems. We’ll also address the special case of general-purpose AI models (GPAI). This will give you a clear overview—a solid foundation for the in-depth training sessions on classification and implementation.
